Food Plot, Stand Access, and Roadside Screening

For any successful management plan, screening plays a significant role to screen roadsides from wandering eyes, improve access to stands, and improve deer comfortability in larger fields and/or food plots. CreekBottom Land Management specializes in planting a variety of screens from annual, perennial, and tree species.

Pine, Spruce, and/or Shrub Screening
Utilizing native tree and shrub species is a great way to improve your property and add screening where it is needed. We have nurseries specializing in native species that will be perfect for your land without the fear of a species becoming invasive on your land. We typically use spruce for outside rows and pines for interior rows. Additionally there is a long list of native shrubs that can not only provide screening but also add habitat for all wildlife species from deer to birds.

Miscanthus Perennial Screening

Miscanthus is a non-native but sterile species that can be an excellent way to provide perennial screening to your property. Many choose Miscanthus to screen roadsides, access routes, and around food plots. Pending number of rhizomes needed for your project we will either install by prepping the soil or utilizing a 3 point tree planter.

Annual Screening
For those looking to plant a temporary screen we have you covered. Temporary screens or otherwise called annual screens are great for leased properties or within food plots that may need adjustment year after year. We will prep the screening areas, till, and plant the screen. Additional fertilizer is typically recommended in these areas.
